The American Cancer Society does not contribute money to the research of adrenal cortical cancer.  Below is a letter I received on September 10, 2002:

Dear Arlyn,

Thank you for contacting your American Cancer Society.  My name is Christine, and I will be assisting you.

Please accept our apology for the delay in response and any inconvenience this may have caused.

Based on your message, you are interested in the amount of money spent on adrenal cortical cancer by the American Cancer Society.

After researching your question, it was found that currently the American Cancer Society is not funding any research dealing with adrenal cortical cancer.

In your message, you mentioned that you are an adrenal cortical cancer survivor. If you are in need of support services, please feel free to reply to this message, and we would be happy to assist you further.

You may also be interested in attending an American Cancer Society Relay For Life. Relay For Life is an overnight event raising cancer awareness and funds for research, education, advocacy, and patient service programs.  Relay is a celebration of life for survivors, a memorial for loved ones lost, and a rally for the community to fight cancer. Because Relays are organized on the local level, event details can vary by location.  Please call the Relay representative for your local American Cancer Society for more information on events in your area.  Contact information for your local American Cancer Society office can be found on our website at the following link:

Please contact your American Cancer Society if we can be of further assistance.  Thank you.
